Honored to join the 70th IPSF World Congress 2025 organizing committee in an inspiring stakeholder and partnership meeting with the Ministry of Gender, Culture, the Arts and Heritage, State Department for Gender and Affirmative Action. *Women are shaping the future of global health — and the momentum is unstoppable.* Across every level of healthcare, gender equity is not just an aspiration — it's a necessity for stronger, more resilient systems. During the meeting, we explored interesting opportunities for collaboration on the *Gender and Global Health* track at the upcoming *70th IPSF World Congress in Kenya*. We discussed the transformative role pharmacists can play in healthcare delivery, addressing *gender-based violence (GBV)*, advancing the *socioeconomic empowerment of women*, and ensuring our health systems intentionally create *gender-inclusive spaces* for every patient. The 70th IPSF World Congress team consists of 75% female leaders, reinforcing the role of women in driving impactful #GlobalHealth initiatives. Last Friday, a delegation of the 70th IPSF World Congress 2025 Reception Committee, led by Mr. Silvanus Manyala (Chairperson), had the honour of meeting with the Directorate of Policy Research and Documentation at the State Department for Gender and Affirmative Action (SDGAA-PRD), under Kenya’s Ministry of Gender, Culture, the Arts and Heritage. We were warmly received by Verity Mganga (Director of Policy Research and Documentation) alongside other officials, Tecla Kipserem, Nicasius Njeru, and Pamela Karimi Muriuki. This engagement follows earlier conversations initiated during the sixty-ninth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (#CSW69) at the United Nations HQs in #NewYork between the State Department and IPSF - International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation leaders Yifan Zhou (PharmD, ACPR, RPh, BSc) (IPSF President) and Gava Tsaqif A. Rayshum (Chairperson of External Relations). During the courtesy call, we officially extended an invitation for the State Department’s involvement as a supporting partner for #IPSFWC2025. We are thrilled to share that the SDGAA-PRD expressed strong willingness to collaborate! Discussions will now advance to facilitate the participation of both the State Department for Gender and Affirmative Action and the State Department for Culture, the Arts and Heritage, particularly in supporting the gender equality topics and cultural aspects of the Congress. The Congress will feature discussions that will focus on the role of pharmacy in promoting #GenderEquality and strengthening #women’s leadership in #healthcare and #pharmaceutical sciences. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the #BeijingDeclaration and Platform for Action, providing a crucial opportunity to reflect on progress made and strategies to #AccelerateAction for equality.
